Showing Up for Our Portland Neighbors
Our history in Portland goes back to 1922. Over that time, we have learned that a strong community takes more than good service. So our team shows up for local drives, walks, and festivals all year long. Here are some of the ways we have pitched in over the past year.
Feeding Local Families
Food insecurity is a real challenge for many families in our area. In November 2025, we hosted a canned food drive at our Portland office. Customers could drop off food at the office or hand it to their technician during a visit. We promised to match the total and give it all to the Portland Food Project. We announced the drive on KGW-TV that same week.
Packing Backpacks for Back to School
In August 2026, we joined the KGW School Supply Drive. Our technicians and office staff packed more than 50 backpacks together. The drive sends donations to school districts across Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Supporting Shriners Children's Portland
We are proud to partner with Shriners Children's year after year. In April 2026, we attended Sips of Spring as a sponsor. All proceeds from that evening went to Shriners Children's Portland. On October 3, 2026, we sponsored Walk for Love at the Oregon Zoo.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In 2026, we sponsored Making Strides of Oregon and SW Washington. The walk took place on October 11 at the University of Portland. To show our support, we turned one of our service vans pink. Our technicians shared that pink van all October as they drove across Portland.
Doggie Dash for Oregon Humane
We love supporting Oregon Humane, and Doggie Dash is always a blast. In 2026, we sponsored Doggie Dash on the Portland waterfront. The May 9 event invited guests to bring their furry friends along for the fun.
Summer Events With Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation
In summer 2026, we teamed up with Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation to sponsor a series of community events. The season started with the Summer Kick-Off at Mountain View Champions Park on June 25. On August 1, we set up a sponsor booth at Big Truck Day. Families stopped by our booth and our van to say hello.
St. Patrick's Day in Willamette
In March 2026, we sponsored St. Patrick's Day in Willamette. The West Linn event featured local vendors, Irish music, and a scavenger hunt.
